In search of effective methods...

I spend a good part of the day searching for examples of effective methods for teaching English as a Second language for my graduate students to examine.  But...no such luck! 

What I found instead were numerous videos depicting the "designer methods" in mostly comical illustrations.  Although most of my students are practicing teachers, I found it much too difficult (and somewhat demeaning) to include the videos as examples.

So... for now, we will just have to settle for words...what else is there in ESL!
